Terms of Use
Nourro AI
Last updated: 12 August 2026 Effective: 12 August 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Nourro AI ("Nourro", "we", "us"), a business based in the United States, governing your use of the Nourro AI mobile application.
By downloading or using Nourro, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Nourro is not medical advice
This is the most important clause in this document, so it is first.
Nourro is a food diary and a wellness tool. It is not a medical device, it is not a diagnostic tool, and nothing in it is medical, nutritional, or dietetic advice. It does not replace a doctor, a dietitian, an allergist, or a pharmacist.
Do not rely on Nourro to keep you safe from an allergen.
We say this plainly because the app displays allergen, halal, kosher, vegan and vegetarian information, and it would be easy to read that as a guarantee. It is not one:
- Nutrition and ingredient data comes from public databases, from manufacturers, from AI estimation, and from what you type in yourself. Any of these can be wrong, out of date, or incomplete.
- Recipes and formulations change without notice, and a database will not know until someone updates it.
- Cross-contamination in manufacturing or in a kitchen is invisible to any database.
- AI meal identification is an estimate from a photograph. It is frequently approximate and sometimes wrong.
Always read the physical packaging before you eat something, every time, if you have an allergy or intolerance. If you have a severe allergy, treat Nourro as a convenience and the label as the truth.
If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are managing an eating disorder, or are taking medication, talk to a qualified professional before changing what you eat. Calorie and macronutrient targets are general estimates from standard formulas, not a prescription. Medication reminders are a convenience feature and must not be your only means of remembering a dose.
If you think you are having an allergic reaction, stop and seek emergency medical help.
2. Who may use Nourro
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may only use Nourro with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. Tell us through the request form, choosing "A security or privacy issue", if you believe someone else has access to it.
3. Your content is yours
Everything you put into Nourro — your diary, your recipes, your custom foods, your notes — belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of it.
You grant us only the limited permission needed to run the service: to store your content, to sync it between your devices, and to process it to produce the features you asked for. That permission ends when you delete your account.
You are responsible for what you enter, and you must not enter anything unlawful or anything you do not have the right to use.
4. Subscriptions
Nourro offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions. Section 5 sets out the full subscription terms and forms part of this agreement.
5. Auto-renewable subscription terms
Titles, lengths and prices:
| Subscription | Length | Price (US) |
|---|---|---|
| Nourro Plus — Monthly | 1 month | $8.99 per month |
| Nourro Plus — Annual | 1 year | $49.99 per year |
| Nourro Premium — Monthly | 1 month | $13.99 per month |
| Nourro Premium — Annual | 1 year | $78.99 per year |
Prices are in US dollars and apply to the United States App Store. In other countries, the price shown in the app at the moment of purchase is the price you pay, in your local currency, and may differ.
How renewal works:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions, at any time.
- Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel through the App Store.
Free trials, where offered:
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- A free trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. We cannot issue them. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple's terms govern, and payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
Price changes. If we change the price of a subscription you already hold, Apple will notify you and ask you to consent before the new price takes effect. Your existing price continues until you consent or the subscription lapses.
What happens if you stop paying. Paid features become unavailable. Your data is not deleted — your diary remains on your device and in your account, and everything is there again if you resubscribe.
6. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
- Use automated systems to scrape or bulk-download from the app or its backend
- Attempt to access another user's account or data
- Interfere with or overload our servers or those of any third party we rely on
- Resell, sublicense or redistribute the app or any data obtained through it
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
We may suspend or terminate an account that does any of these.
7. Third-party data and services
Nourro uses data and services provided by others:
- Open Food Facts — product data, licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL 1.0). Contains information from Open Food Facts, contributed by its community.
- USDA FoodData Central — the bundled food dataset. A work of the United States federal government, in the public domain.
- OpenStreetMap contributors — map and place data, licensed under ODbL 1.0.
- Anthropic — AI food identification.
- Apple HealthKit — health data you choose to share, read on your device.
We are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of third-party data, and these services may change or stop working.
8. Availability
We do not promise that Nourro will always be available or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a means of exporting your data.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nourro is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of this may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to Nourro is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so some of this may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the app or your breach of these terms. This does not apply to claims arising from our own acts or omissions.
12. Termination
You may stop using Nourro and delete your account at any time, from Settings → Account → Delete Account.
We may terminate or suspend your access if you materially breach these terms. Where practical we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the problem first.
Sections 1, 3, 9, 10, 11 and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which we are established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the courts of that state.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings there.
14. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Nourro or for supporting it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to a warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Nourro after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the app and delete your account.
